Does anyone even remember this?
In 2009, a new H1N1 influenza virus, or the "swine flu" cropped up out of season, in late spring. Because of genetic similarities to influenza viruses in pigs, it became known as a “swine flu,” even though there is no evidence the virus spread between pigs or pigs to humans.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there were about 60.8 million cases of infection with the novel type of influenza virus in the U.S. between April 2009 and April 2010, with a total of approximately 274,304 hospitalizations and 12,469 deaths.
Let's keep perspective -- it's a FLU bug for Pete's sake (!!!) -- and stop referring to it as a "disease" or a "virus" because this only makes it creepy and escalates the nonsense and panic (yes, yes, I know it is a virus and a disease but that is not the point Mr. Factoid Man). It is a flu bug. Say that with me..."Flu bug". Good. Now, let's stay calm, and think through this with our heads America, and not with our, um, butts as the shortage on TP across the country is certainly emblematic of.
Let's quit falling for Mainstream Propaganda Media manipulation (TV, radio, paper, or social), and enabling deep state power grabs. Do not forget the Marxist proverb: "Never let a crisis go to waste."
