Best Books for Learning to "See" the Scriptures

As a follow-up concerning my last post discussing a better, more authentic understanding of the ancient Scriptures, let me highly recommend to you Through New Eyes: Developing a Biblical View of the World  by James B. Jordan.  Literally, you will feel the noodles in your brain squirming and shifting around as you adsorb the teaching in this book.  It is paradigm shattering and will help you get inside the Bible's symbolism and be able to read it with "new eyes".

But perhaps -- and upon second thought -- probably the best place to start is with A House for My Name by Peter Liethart.  It is geared to be an intro to Through New Eyes, and in fact Liethart mentions he toyed with calling his book Through New Eyes for Dummies.
