Stumbling Over our Fleshly Traditions

An area we need to turn away from and return to the apostle's pattern of faith is when we name our Lordsday gathering times "worship services".  This unfortunate title creates the idea in the People of Christ that a building and/or a period of time is where we "worship", or, more widely referred to as "goin' tah church".  Rather, we are 24/7, mobile tabernacles who are whole-life worshippers and not just for a two hour block of time.
Now, we all know this -- kinda -- but most of us don't speak this way, nor publicly practice this biblical concept.  To help in thinking through this more, read this great article by Steve Atkerson entitled Worship at all Times but Meet Primarily to Edify

  1. And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. (Heb 10:24,25)

Amen! Gatherings are a time for "one anothers," to edify, love, encourage, help, etc. one another.

The Biblical priorities for gathering together CAN NOT be accomplished in our traditional church structures.
Brothers and sisters, it is time for change!
