Is the Old Covenant Still in Effect in Some Way?

NKJ Version

--  Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. ….. And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant.
(Hebrews 9.11, 15)

--  For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come…then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God.”  He takes away the first that He may establish the second.
(Hebrews 10.1, 9)

--  For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second. Because finding fault with them, He says: “Behold, the days are coming, says YHWH, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah — not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says YHWH.…..In that He says, “A new covenant,”   He has made the first obsolete.  Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
(Hebrews 8.7-13)

-- [Jesus said]  Hear another parable: There was a certain landowner who planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a winepress in it and built a tower. And he leased it to vinedressers and went into a far country. Now when vintage-time drew near, he sent his servants to the vinedressers, that they might receive its fruit. And the vinedressers took his servants, beat one, killed one, and stoned another. Again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did likewise to them. Then last of all he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.’ So they took him and cast him out of the vineyard and killed him.

“Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vinedressers?”

They said to Him, “He will destroy those wicked men miserably, and lease his vineyard to other vinedressers who will render to him the fruits in their seasons….”

Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it.
(Matthew 21.33-43)

So, NO, it is not.
